The problem with OT is that it's actually too open ended for its own good. It's like eight trips to the dentist, wrapped up into one adventure. Battle system is excellent but too easy. SRR isn't great, but it's pretty good. Story and characters are cliched, but it looks and plays surprisingly nice. Good OST too. Actually now that I think about it, she does have a shield.
