10 easily. Just throw on a hoodie under my leather jacket and I'm good to go. Ears protected. I'm out and about in 10 or below probably a few dozen times a year. It's rarely 100+ where I live, but even 80 makes me miserable if there's any humidity at all, which there usually is.

I'll take the cold. I'm used to it. Where I used to live, it got to at least -50*C every year. If you dress in layers and cover up exposed skin, you are fine and your body will keep itself warm. Heat, though, I can't deal with the heat. It's oppressive and there is nothing you can do. You constantly loose fluids and there is no solution. Getting naked would actually cause you to heat up even worse through exposure, and even light clothes can be constraining. It's horrible.

Edit: I'm not super familiar with F. I looked it up and it's only -12*C? Jesus Christ, that is absolutely nothing.

10 degrees. Hell, where I'm from we usually go around 0 to -15 during a normal winter. I tend to leave the back window open, as I enjoy the chill, helps me sleep.

For those who haven't experienced it, imagine never having to worry about bugs. Sure you can't use your bbq, but that's a minor gripe when you can cook most bbq stuff in your oven just as well.

It's currently 40C here and it fucking blows. For some reason it feels hotter here in China than it did during the summers in Thailand (mid 40's all the time). Probably a combination of the humidity (right next to the East China Sea) and increased pollution that makes it feel hotter.

I can't wait until October and the weather dips into the teens (can get to about -3C during the winter). It's been nearly 3 years since I've experienced weather below 25C.

Northern Canada can get into the -50C range as well. Edmonton would regularly get below -40C. Coldest I experienced was -59C (with the windchill) in Lethbridge, Alberta.

10F. I hate the heat and like wearing coats.

I work at a retail store and we have an old female customer who comes in every day in the exact same wool winter coat, winter beanie, and boots. Whether its 10 or 100 degrees outside, she will be there every day in her winter ensemble, almost like a cartoon character that never changes outfits.

Recently Ive been wondering how she hasnt had a heat stroke. Its been in the 90s here and she comes in drenched in sweat. She never really speaks, just hums to herself.

No, Northern Saskatchewan. Winter is generally 6-7 months, transitions between winter and summer are about 1 month, and it snows around late September and continues to snow until about April. Oh, and the summers are hot and dry. I'm not exaggerating about the temperature either;

100 is more manageable and easier to deal with. It's also closer to room temperature. Even though you can layer up to deal with the cold, 10 degrees is taking it too far, to the point where you need significant layers if you're out much at all. And the roads are icy and snowy.

I much prefer the cold, but 100 degrees is easier to deal with than 10. Even if you're spending most of your time indoors.

Dear god this.
It's suppose to be 110 here today. You are stuck inside, usually in one room with the best AC all day. I can strip naked and it's so damn hot it overpowers what the window AC is capable of cooling down. It is miserable.
In the cold I can pile on the clothes and I'm fine. Be inside or outside. Do home/yard repair work. Go grocery shopping without feeling like I'm about to pass out. Be able to breath without feeling like I'm struggling to do so. Absolutely fuck the heat and fuck summer.

Uhhh ...

Cold weather = turn on your heater and dress in layers.
Hot weather = take off as much clothing as possible, but not all of it, because wearing too much clothing will cause you to have heatstroke, but wearing too little will cause you to also die of exposure. Oh, and you need a specific device that is literally only for that situation (AC) in order to cool off, and if it is incredibly humid, that won't work either. You also have to deal with sunburn and dehydration.

Absolutely not.

And who carries an umbrella in the snow?

Honestly, the only difference between how I'm dressed when it's 90 out and when it's 30 out is my leather jacket. Drop to 10, add hoodie. Drop below zero, add t-shirt around my face to protect my nose. I don't need more layers than that.

I can bundle up to handle wind. It's only a threat to to my ears, nose and fingers, but I can cover those. I went for a walk one time when it was -14 and windy, in fact it was literally in the middle of a blizzard. With those areas covered, I was totally fine. I could have been out there for an hour or longer. No extra protection below the torso. My legs, feet and genitals were completely fine with jeans/khakis, socks and normal sneakers.

I can't do anything for humidity except focus on remaining conscious.

Also rain doesn't happen often in winter where I am.

You don't even need a ski mask in most cases. A scarf, hood, or jacket with a collar works just as well.

And yeah, at -10*C you don't need much besides a jacket. I used to wear jeans, underwear, socks, shoes, undershirt, shirt, sweater, jacket (usually open), hood and sometimes a scarf or shemagh in -30*C and I was fine.

I typically wore sneakers, jeans, t-shirt, hoodie and a leather jacket (open) in -30C or lower weather. If I was outside for a fairly long time then my feet and legs would eventually get cold but my upper body was always fine.

All you heat pickers complaining about the Snow at 10 degrees don't realize that at single digit temperatures snowfall is unlikely due to the air being too dry. If you just go straight to 10 degrees in a spot with now snow already you wouldn't need to deal with the snow much.
