This, pretty much. I know he's trolling, but I can't stop myself.

We've been over this. It's not trolling when I'm right. Blizz can crap out a bunch of sprays in an hour then ask you to buy more boxes. It's the good content that they're lazy with. And with Act pulling the strings this isn't going to change.

I was almost interested in the Spyro collection until I read part 2/3 are DL only even with the disc copy. Now Act can stuff it up their ass.

Back when I played comp I think I had like one match where nobody picked damage and so I picked McCree.

I wish they kept their alternate modes longer. Lucioball was the weakest considering I also have Rocket League.

I don't understand, why would you let team choice dictate who you pick? I always chose Pharah, didn't even look at the rest. Dva was a backup if I wasn't working on trophies or finding a new server.

Was 4 SR away from silver, then I lost 25 SR because my team had a group of 3 trolls. They took turns leaving the game, they'd just hide at some points for long stretches of time. We had 3 more minutes then them to get the payload a tiny distance and we lost. They were clearly smurf accounts too, as when they actually decided to play they were fantastic.

I am livid right now. It's impossible to escape bronze.

Are we all in agreement that Summer Games 3 is just the worst event they've ever done? In fact, Overwatch seems to be in a crisis in general. It's not dead, not by a long shot, but it's dying. A slow, painful death. I don't know what they could possibly do to revitalize interest for the game. More multimedia stuff? TV show? Graphic novels? Or even an expansion pack? I don't know what an expansion to this game would possibly look like. Maybe they've been working on one in secret for two years? I don't know, seems unlikely. If they started working on one today, it probably wouldn't release until 2020 or 2021. Could the game last that long in its current state? Probably not. The game is bleeding players, and Blizz has to know the current model isn't cutting it, and probably can't for much longer.

maybe if they did something interesting (anything at all) more than like 2-3 times a year, or added more modes or something.

really though, multiplayer games do this, even the big ones. they're super popular for a long time and then as hype fades only the dedicated fans remain. it was kinda inevitable no matter what blizzard did. i'm sure there will be a sequel eventually when blizzard decides this one is no longer worth adding anything to.

this game will probably have players for a very long time, but it's not gonna be like it was again.

Yeah Overwatch isn't gonna sustain itself endlessly on casual mode lootboxes. This isn't surprising. I'm sure they make a fraction of the money they did I initially.

We can only hope that a sequel or spin off is being developed, preferably with an actual plot.

Oh and of course it's worth remembering that the current prime time life expectancy of triple A shooters is only one year. And that's with far more aggressive monetization tactics than Blizzard is currently employing (though almost certainly with a much higher budget).

Overwatch is going to remain active for years I'm sure but it will reach the point where people on the internet describe it as dead, even if it's not. Its just not the hot new thing anymore.

also the fact Blizzard just overhypes OWL and promotes the hell out if it is kinda funny when you consider that the console audience cannot even participate in the competitive OW scene even if they wanted to

so being amazing on Console just really doesn't matter because blizzard has tournaments on lockdown and all on pc(plus even then the road to pro is extremely difficult to get into)
