Japanese (if you delete Kanji) In terms of what's involved in learning, Japanese minus the kanji is basically Korean. (Obviously, this does not mean you can literally write Japanese without using kanji and a Korean speaker will understand; I'm merely talking in terms of what kind of grammatical structures you need to learn to deal with, etc. Though the pronunciation is a bit trickier, but still not too bad - certianly a lot easier than, say, Chinese or Russian pronunciation.) --- ...
