Some 16x9 DVDs, especially the older ones, matte a 16x9 frame inside the 4x3 frame. Playing them on modern DVD players connected to modern televisions then places that inside a 16x9 frame, resulting in letterboxing inside of pillarboxing.

You're actually watching 640x360 video. Find your player's 'zoom' function, X1 may not even have that.

This was a pretty funny topic, glad I chose to enter.

Why are you messing with the remote once the movie or whatever starts. Saves batteries, good thing. With Xbox, don't you just press A and then press A again to rewind fast forward, pretty easy.

Hmmm I don't think it has that, I tried searching through the options

And yes I like watching 4k movies but I also like watching my old dvds
