I highly recommend it. If you can stick it out for the first month of hell at you reach a point where it's not 30 minutes of hell anymore, but just 30 minutes of melting away negative thoughts and feeling pure and free.

"Cardio sucks" is a meme and you should not listen to this meme

Running is to me what coffee is to most people. Would recommend time and time again.

Running destressed me so much in painful times.

Swimming is even better.

I don't run, I walk.

I'm too fat, out of shape and fearful of mockery to run.

cardio does suck and the happy brain hormones it provides I can receive through resistance exercises (ie, weight training) which I prefer.

That said, yeah, shit's cash. Being outside is also a boon to mild depression (get dat vitamind D!) which outdoor running can certainly accomplish at the same time.

I like that commercial where the woman says she used to smoke and now she started running. "I feel much better now" she sounds so sad and monotone Lil. Whatever works tho tc keep ul the cardio. :)

7 years in the military and 6 months this year and last of what's considered physically one of the top 3 hardest popo academies in the country(6+ plus miles of running to start the day)

I can honestly say fuck running. Never been one time in my entire life I liked running. EVER

Exercise release happy chemicals in the brain. That's why all depressed people need to go outside, and go for a walk or run.

Jogging is horrible. It honestly hurts me legs and feet so much, I don't want to do it. Plus, when it comes to things like weight loss, I find dieting much more effective (although just as horrific). Why are you depressed, anyway? How bad is the depression? It's been quite a while since I've been depressed, maybe a year, a year and a half, but I admit, it it very hard to live with.

I never like the idea of doing cardio before I do it, but after I do it I feel better every time.

I'm still trying to figure out how to convince pre-workout me to stay on top of it.

My trick is to keep the workouts short and to not sit down when I get home, because once you sit down it's game over. First thing I do when I get in the door is get changed into my gear.

When I dogged, a few years back, I jogged for just over an hour, every other day (I think). But I don't know if it helped me with much.

That's what Robert Downey Jr did to break his addiction to narcotics.

Just grab the headphones, load up a good podcast, some classical music or jazz, and walk/run your trouble away.

But depression is a clinical disorder. Once you have depression you have it for life and often for no reason. Nothing can make you feel better

I'm not a doctor but I reckon if you're that big literally just sitting on your chair waving your arms about while cutting down on the doritos will help.
