DevsBro I love these random thought topics, I think of the same things.

I'm still a big fan of the high five, but I think I might be the last high-fiver alive so when I go for the high five it often turns out super-awkward.

Sometimes people respond by holding out the hand for a handshake. What I generally do then is try to play it off like they responded how I wanted them to and do this super-awkward wide swing to get from the above-the-shoulder high five position to the waist-level handshake with like a clapping motion to shake their hand.

But the most awkward is when they go for the fist bump and then I end up, like, grabbing their fist.

Or sometimes they'll realize it's a high five and try to swap over to the high five position while I try to match their fist bump and we continue for a few rounds while it just looks like we're confusedly speaking to each other in sign language or something.

I'm considering just dropping the high five altogether tbh.
