a cat can get down eventually on it's own. it's just that sometimes it takes a while for the cat to decide to come down. and meanwhile the owner freaks out and thinks their pet is stuck

I saw this in my backyard. Our backyard cat was chasing a bird and got stuck high in a tree. It eventually got down on its own though.

How are you going to come down head first if your claws are aimed towards climbing up? You would fall on your face. Cats don't know to go tail first to come down. Isn't that how a human would come down after climbing up, feet first?
