Ive accepted that I wont be returning to college; as much as Id like to learn, the degrees Im interested in would be worthless, and I hit a wall with normal schooling very early on.

Welding is really interesting to me because I could make a solid living doing it while also using those skills in my creative output. I had wanted to look into electrical work, but the things Im interested in dont really line up with the things that pay the bills.

Im too bitch to ever do underwater welding, but Ive talked to people and it seems pretty easy & stable to get an entry position bench welding/the money is better than working retail until I drop dead.

Learn to install carpet, LVT, ceramic tile, sheet vinyl, etc. and you'll make close to 6 figures here in PA.

People come in for an 8 hour weekend gig and walk away with a check for 500 to 700 bucks or more.

Do it, you can probably find a paid apprenticeship and make bank while learning.

not a bad idea. family friend is one and he gets paid 6 figures. travels all over the west, gets per diem, and basically free vacations while he's at it.

he's a master though, done it his whole life, and fixes boilermakers and other heavy equipment so he's in high demand.
