I remember they played The Old Republic and they were playing as Republic characters yet when they showed one of the women's characters trying on a new piece of armor they got, she was clearly a sith Inquisitor, a class that's on the Empire side

That's like if a show depicted World of Warcraft and said they were playing alliance but one of the people was clearly an orc

It's just dumb though. Like they had to go out of their way to get that wrong on purpose. What was their goal? They could have easily shown a Jedi trying on armor. It makes no sense

People found it funny.

I don't see how anyone can argue that Friends was a million times better than Big Bang, or How I Met Your Mother. Hell, often times the "smart comedy" gets canceled. IE: Arrested Development.

You don't get it. I understand they dont give a shit so why go out of their way to do something like that? It was actually more work to show a sith than to show a Jedi. It makes no sense and the fact you dont understand what I am saying is frustrating me. You just don't get the issue. I am saying that making her character a sith on screen served no purpose and actually took more time than if they just showed a Jedi. Someone had to specifically create a sith character model for that scene.

Isn't there an episode where Sheldon gets his WoW character hacked and loses all of his stuff and he tries to track the hacker down and get his stuff back.......when in reality you would send send a ticket to a GM and they'll roll back your character?

Season 2 they started focusing in a lot more on Sheldon and his interactions with the rest of the group and the world. That's when ratings took off.

Watching a man who is clearly on the spectrum interact with other slightly less awkward nerds was a huge draw. Also, eye candy girls. Then people just kept with it.

yea. plus the thief takes his mount. which is impossible. mounts are bound to your account. you cant' trade them or sell them. only way it could be stolen somehow is if Sheldown never used the mount and kept it as a loot item in his inventory then maybe someone could take it, in theory. but he talks about riding it. so that's not possible.

I also found it really convenient that the thief just happens to live near Sheldon. people play WoW all over the planet, and he just happens to get robbed by a guy who lives like an hour out of LA. just so Sheldon is able to go knock on his door

It's the exact same tired sitcom cliches, plotlines, and jokes, but the characters occasionally reference gravity or a famous scientist while doing it. It's the sitcom equivalent of a girl posting pictures of herself wearing thick-rimmed glasses on instagram with the caption "LOL so nerdy!"

Hell no. Very few "smart" comedies get that big. Frasier was well written and got pretty big, but most of the smart ones end up being niche.
