Former MTV VJ Jesse Camp has been reported missing by his sister, Marisha Camp, after she stopped hearing from him over a week ago.

The Riverside Police Department told ET on Monday that Marisha "filed a report with our department last week on the 19th stating he was missing," and that, through her own search and by reaching out to friends, she'd "ended up talking to somebody who claimed that he was last seen in [Riverside, California]," although they explained that they do not know for sure if he was actually ever in the city.

So that guy was planted in the crowd right? He wasn't just some random dude that MTV decided to give a job to?

He was part of a contest, and people voted him in. I remember at the time it was funny because MTV very obviously wanted the second place guy (Dave Holmes, they did hire him and then he went to VH1 IIRC) but they had to honor the contest.

The next several months they could not figure out what to do with Jesse, he was terrible on tv, and eventually they just gave him a band and sent him on tour.

Yeah Dave was the one they planned to give the job to anyways and he worked there for years after. Jesse was just like a crazy burnout.

Dave Holmes still worked with MTV actually. Lasted a lot longer than Camp. Holmes was awesome. He knew his music.

Also hope they find Camp. Terrible situation for the family.

Yeah that guy is a rock and roll encyclopedia.
Didn't he have some kind of karaoke show on MTV at one point? I vaguely remember it

Say What? Karaoke

I liked the one where he was at a bar and would ask music video questions to people and they'd have to guess what happened pre-viewing the video.

Which reminds me of Pop Up Video. Man that was a good show too.

I've heard that the dude isn't really a whackjob. He made up a character and went all in with it. That's what I heard at least. Not sure if fake news or true.
