Most of you know, or are at least familiar, with Satan. I mean Oreo Pupper. But she really is Satan tho...

Here's a pic.
9jyYunF

The crate was originally in the corner to the left of the door. She kicks the tray out of the bottom, and then is able to somehow move across the floor. Idk if she's flipping it or scooting it. She eats the floor and the couch this way.

SO, with her causing this damage while crated, we tried letting her free roam while we're gone.

Mixed results, but I'm worried that she's "learning" she can now potty in the house now

How long do you leave them alone for everyday? Maybe you should get someone to come by and take them out and stuff if you can.

Usually 3 hours. Long days are more like 7, which I expect accidents.

Today is the first long day she'll be free roaming

How much exercise does she get? This sounds more behavioral than routine.

We play a lot of fetch in the backyard. About hour total each day, of her sprinting from one end of the yard to the other. She also has another dog to play with

You'd benefit a lot from putting her in a puppy obedience class, and a board and train class after.

I think morning would help a lot more, but you should do both. That dog has like 10x the energy that you do and t needs to get it out

We aren't really caging her anymore. She does more damage inside than she does when she free roams.

This would be nice, but some obedience classes are over $1,000. Just not in the budget right now, especially after 2k in damages, and about to have a new floor installed because of her.

Just saying a 1k class would have been cheaper than the repairs you're forced to do.

Yep! This helped with my 8 months old. She's always been very high energy, seems like she's constantly has the zoomies.

But when we put her in the crate, either from letting her be out for a long time or if she gets to over excited, we've always covered the crate and she relaxes.

Also yak cheese, even tho somewhat expensive like you said, last a long time, my dog been on the same one for the last 2 weeks.

Not every dog needs it, but every dog will benefit. Not trying to pile on man, just my viewpoint.
Obedience training is always my #1priority with dogs simply because it's impossible to tell if they'll need it, but it's always a good thing to do.

Yeah cage with a cover is my go to training. People heavily underrate what crating does for a dog.

Yeah, I was totally on board with it. They need a "den". She just fucking HATES being in there, but as someone else said, we didn't crate train well enough.

Separation anxiety is definitely the cause. No doubt in my mind.

We've considered cameras. One that you can "talk" to would be nice, if I can catch her in the act doing something. Got any you recommend?

Yeah they have those pet cams that can run from 200 bucks or so onward, but honestly it might be better just to get some general security cameras with a built in voice feature. Then you'd get an actual system, plus you can see contact your dog.

The Furbo like many can pop out treats too. Others can fit right onto a wall.

https://www.amazon.com/Furbo-Dog-Camera-Tossing-Designed/dp/B01FXC7JWQ

So that is a pro to having a dog specific camera.

If it does come to that, please find someone yourself that you trust to take her and dont just drop her at a shelter. But I believe in ya TC, just be patient and loving, your pet will love you, and eventually learn what behaviors are rewarded. Positive reinforcement always trumps punishment.
