They tease at the post credit scene that one of the characters has an idea to summon Ghidorah and hope Godzilla and Ghidorah take each other out. That match up will depend on how much Ghidorah grew in comparison to Godzilla, who is like 10? 100? times larger than the largest recorded Godzilla

especially since a new mechagodzilla AND mechaghidorah are involved

Except for Giant Monsters All Out Attack where it took Mothra and Ghidorah to whoop his evil ass. But it really broke the lore.

True. It was cool to see Godzilla return to his monstrous roots, but...yeaaahhh....still a good movie all things considered.

The Battle For Earth in the 90s I think was a better ass whooping for Big G.

Destroy All Monsters is fantastic...so long as you can sit through some of the most mundane human dialog in the entire franchise.

Yeah that was a weird scene. But Gorosaurus went on to be one of the most important monsters in the fight against Ghidorah. Only Godzilla and Anguirus were doing as much damage as Gorosaurus was.

He's one of my favorite monsters even though he'll most likely never be used again. The fact that he's really nothing more than a giant Allosaurus is part of his charm. Not special in any way but he at least had one moment of kicking Ghidorah's ass.

he really wouldn't have been in the movie if the creators hadn't just tried to jam every single suit and puppet they could find into the film

the reason gorosaurus was in that scene btw
was because the baragon puppet was too damaged for a burrowing-exit scene

it had some terrible special effects for the time, and the moon base scene was laughable even as a child
final fight is awesome tho
