I think people need to stop saying so much homophobic shit. I think that F-word should be in the same vain as the N-word, but it isn't.

But I still continue to hear things like, "you suck", "Oh, that licks balls!", "Oh, he just got fucked in the ass," and all of those mean negative things. Which is 100% wrong, IMO, but people still continue to use those types of phrases.

That's gay, no h***, this blows, and so many other phrases

I don't hear "that's gay" and "no homo" as much as I did when I was younger though

Some may not believe this, but suck as in Man, this class sucks was also in the raw obscenity category when I was a teenager. It was used plenty in the school hallways but not in front of your teacher and never in front of your mother. I remember some agitation by certain culturally-advanced youngsters who tried to railroad their elders into accepting sucks as a safe and harmless substitute for stinks. The elders werent having any of it, last I checked, but the liberalizing linguists seem to have carried the day. I have always assumedrightly or wrongly, I do not know that the word was originally intended to carry sexual overtones, which was the reason for its suppression. Today, the sexual overtones are either forgotten or are now acceptable in mixed company. Im not sure which explanation disturbs me more.

So when the phrase was first being used, it was used in that way, a sexual thing someone does, and to associate that with weakness only means that the people who do "suck" are the weaker people. It's an insult

But can you honestly say in good faith that anyone who says "that sucks" in response to something shitty that happens is doing it with homophobic intent? I certainly can't. Meanings and intentions can change.

I agree, but do you think some of these really college aged kids these day know some of the racial context of what they say and get into trouble for? I recently saw a YouTube video about a kid that got kicked from Twitch because he was in a FPS game and was looking for a racoon, and asked where the "southern version of that word" went, not understanding that context of that word at all because he was Swedish

But yes, no one uses it that way, but that's the context of the phrase. That's why it means a negative thing, means that you're weak or are terrible at something or a nag. I'm not saying that people need to stop saying that, just pointing it out to people.

But now go look around the Internet and see how many things SJWs get upset about and "racial and/or sexual" context over the years. This used to mean this back in 1954, and even though none of you were alive or maybe even knew that, we're going to try and get you fired from your job.

Here in Portland we are having these ICE protests, right? Crazy shit happening every day down town. But Ski Mask The Slump God is going to come to Portland here in the next couple months, and he has some homophobic lyrics in his songs. Do you think anyone is going to go and protest him? Extremely left-wing people who will call me a racist because I'm white will not go and protest someone that is literally calls people f(ToS) and his buddy XXX knocks gay people out for looking at him. If we can't make fun of someone's weight, which they can fucking work on and cut weight, then why can we make fun of people that have things like height issues (Tall and short) which they can't change. You can even change your sex now if you don't like the body you're in, lol

The irony in using "incel" as an insult towards a person who actually identifies as one is that it doesn't offend real incels at all.
The most extreme of them are using the term as a badge now.

It can, however, be very offensive to someone who is NOT an incel. When used excessively, it's like calling someone an "SJW" or "alt right" just because you judgmentally disagree with their opinion...

People who use the term casually like that as an insult are typically not good natured, socially aware people themselves because they ignore that distinction.
