Back in the day, i.e. 2009, I played through at least half of the game. Now, I can't beat Level 1 - 1. I kept dying on that group of enemies at the end (I think it's the end).

Yeah. If you stay on top of the bus it should be easy.

Gather them up together, shoot one in the head and abuse your melee attack. Repeat until the game is over.

To be fair, RE5 was always a bit of a lifeless experience anyway (so to speak). It just wasn't that much fun. No real scares, and the run and gun gameplay was a long way from the fun you could have with running and gunning in certain first-person-shooters and third-person-shooters.
