So, my job sends people out to road shows to sell products every now and then... Currently we've got someone in Oklahoma with a 4G LTE device, a card reader and a tablet...
For some reason, the tablet just won't stay connected to wifi this morning even though it was working great yesterday. At this point, I'm thinking "hey, let me jump in on this and I can probably fix it." I tried every god damn thing I can think of to do on that Windows 10 tablet and it just won't connect to the wifi network at all. The girl's cell phone connects to wifi just fine and the card reader connects to wifi just fine. Cleared wifi settings, tried to reconnect... "can't connect to this network." Rebooted tablet. Same thing. Reset tcp/ip and winsock, rebooted. Same thing. Disabled/re-enabled wifi adapter... Same thing. God damn it. I haven't been stumped on a wifi connectivity issue like this in about 10 years and I'm super frustrated right now. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Might just be defective hardware. Try using the phone as a hotspot.

It could be a chip malfunction. Have you tried connecting other tablets? Every other device is fine?

It might just be broken hardware. Happens. my router had problems, and it wouldn't connect. it took well over 3 days before i somehow fucked with the power cord enough for the thing to turn the fuck on. it kept it alive just long enough for centurylink to send a new router and to charge me a 100$. bastards. --- I'm pretty much Stu from Rugrats making pudding at 4 in morning because I've lost control of my life - Polycosm ... one time in class years ago I discovered that a serial WIC card was defective. cable was good, config was good, interface was up, but no matter what I tried the line proto was down. only figured it out by swapping cards around
that was a fun lesson lol ... Copied to Clipboard!
