For me it was GTA 3 and Vice City when they came out, I eventually got them from my dad and got GTA SA when I was 17, on release.

There wasn't anything I wasn't allowed to play. I think for some reason Body Harvest was an issue because of the title.. and I remember somehow Killer Instinct being an issue because my grandma saw me watching that N64 preview tape Nintendo Power sent and freaked when she saw the dude collapse.
But my parents never really cared about violent games, they knew the content and got me mostly everything. ... Copied to Clipboard!

My parents let me play everything. Like I played Mortal Kombat 2 when I was 4. The only time my dad ever scolded me for video game violence was when I would torture guards in Metal Gear Solid 2 by shooting out their right hand, a leg, and walkie talkie and then smack them around while they limped away.

Our aunt bought us this SNES fighting game called WeaponLord, but since it was rated T, our mom forbade us from playing it.

Just the Sims. My parents didn't give a shit about me playing Mortal Kombat, GTA, Halo, any extremely violent game honestly. They only cared about Sims because of the blurred out nudity.

Games and movies were not regulated in my house.
