Me and my wife was watching the movie today and we had this question, that I didn't see directly answered.

If becoming infected with an illness causes the zombies to leave you be, because you're no longer a viable host, then what happens if you cure said illness? In the movie they use meningitis, but that's a potentially deadly illness so once they started curing people, would they again become viable hosts for zombies?

If curing whatever sickness you may have ever had kept you invisible to the zombies, then a lot more people would have been camouflaged. Because almost everyone has been sick with something before.

Also, World War Z fans generally don't like that movie because it had almost nothing in common with the source material beyond the title. Like, one scene in Israel used some dialogue from the book, but that is it.

The concept didn't make sense because the entire ending was re-filmed because test audiences hated the darker ending.

If I recall, I heard it was the main character gets caught up in a military campaign against the zombies. It takes him so long to get back to his family, that he finds that his wife has remarried or at least has been sleeping with another man out of necessity so she and the kids can survive. Something like that.

The audiobook was top tier.

IIRC after the plane crash Brad Pitt and the Chick are taken captive by Russians.

I think the chick becomes a sex slave for some general while Pitt becomes just some worker or soldier slave.

Pitt escapes, rescues the soldier chick, he gets in contact with his wife and finds out she remarried the helicopter pilot so she could stay on the ship. (that's why he was played by the main dude from Lost)

Then Pitt and the soldier chick decide to start making their way through the zombie world or something.

I still don't understand why they just didn't do "interview With a Vampire" but all the characters in the World War Z book. It really is an easy movie to make and they come out with the dumpster fire that they did.

The book was stupid as fuck. Don't let these book elitists fool you. The book had every single fucking zombie trope and stereotype there is when it comes to horror and zombie media.

Did you see Interview With a Vampire? Then you would know that it only makes up a couple minutes of the actual movie.
