Im fed up after 5 years at Lowes. Ive busted my ass for them through my entire employment and have nothing to show for it. I get a LOT of compliments from management, but I need something tangible. Compliments on my hard work doesnt pay my bills.

Im looking for a job where pay and opportunities for advancement are performance based. Looking for a job where if I ask them if I can be considered for the new position opening up, considering ive worked hard for them for 5 years, they wont reply with But you do such a good job with your current position. What kind of bullshit is that? Basically, Im looking for a job that rewards its good employees and treats them right. If your job fits the criteria, please post about it here!

I work for a family run photography studio that does mostly school pictures. They treat me very nicely and have rewarded my effort with nice raises and promotions. My ideas are always taken into consideration and my opinions are valued. It's pretty nice.

I've worked a lot of jobs and generally smaller companies have treated me better. National chains aren't often a place where you feel valued.

Probably true. Ive always worried about job security with smaller companies, though.

I have a bachelorss degree btw. Finance was my major, but Im open to anything as long as the job is full time, starts at least $12 per hour, and meets all the criteria I listed above.

Yes that's the idea usually.

Grow and find a new job.

There is such thing as "outgrowing" a posiiton.

A franchise under Taco Bell

We used to be good until 2 of the owners bailed out and the one remaining is just an asshole about overtime and hours. Basically trying to pay us minimal and they try to cut out any managers who make more than like $17 an hour.
