Some asshole claims my dog bit him, but pretty much no element of his story could hold up if the burden of proof is on him to prove it was my dog that bit him. If he has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, my dog walks for sure. If he has to show a preponderance of evidence like civil court, I'm 99.9% sure my dog walks. He misidentified the color of my dog. He claims he was bit while walking his 2 pitbulls, but surely they would have done something to my dog. My 6 foot high fence is impossible for my 11 year old dog to get over or around. If he got out of my yard somehow, he wouldn't have been able to get back in and we'd have to find him elsewhere, which didn't happen. Like if this were a person, this wouldn't even make it to a judge, but I'm worried animals get a lower burden of proof.

No, dogs do wrong. The asshole's dogs killed stray cats. Mine is too old to even stand up to my cats.

If there's no history of your dog biting people then you're probably safe. If not well you might be fucked even if there's no evidence that your dog bit him

it's probably some asshole who wants to see your dogs get taken away. if they take you to court and you're found not guilty i want you to tell that son of a bitch off right after winning because that bastard deserves it (the verbal talk).

ps: the guy is giving a bad reputation to the pitbull breed. you don't use those dogs for defense. only for companionship.

If he does not have documented evidence such as photos of the bite that can be used to compare the bite marks he received to the biting pattern of your own dog, he has nothing to stand on in court.
