BWLurker 07/09/18 11:53:29 AM #1:	Of the 4 or so we have it supposedly narrowed down to - Results (8 votes) Hardiman 12.5% (1 vote) 1 Barrett 25% (2 votes) 2 Kavanaugh 12.5% (1 vote) 1 Kethledge 12.5% (1 vote) 1 Other 37.5% (3 votes) 3 Of these choices, Barrett has the lowest chance of actually being nominated and currently it looks like Hardiman is working his way up the rankings. Hardiman would be a great Justice regardless of who nominated him, in my opinion. He's more business oriented than liberals would like, but he doesn't rule with his emotions like social conservatives would. If Trump picks him, I'd say he made a good decision. Also, another tidbit of interest. News has reported on interviews between the president and all these picks except Hardiman. Given Trump's flair for the theatrical and wanting a reality show reveal, I think this gives Hardiman the edge as Trump was hoping to hide his intentions that way. <cite>BWLurker posted [p:904758639] in Who do you... Mitch McConnell doesn't seem to want him, either: perhaps his staff found something that could drag out his nomination process?(that, or he's trying to use reverse-psychology on Trump). Basically, McConnell most likely wants a candidate who is A) Reliably conservative and B) Quick to confirm(i.e. not a whole big career to go over).
