Wow, I didn't know Primal Rage had a sequel. And are some of those human characters or demigods?

here's what wiki says. i havent played the game myself.

The plot focused on the years after the first game's timeline. It turns out the meteor that crashed on Urth was actually an egg which hatched a being known as Necrosan. The gods fight it but their efforts end up being useless. Necrosan imprisons them in a state of semi-suspended animation, forms minions of his own and starts to wreak havoc on Urth. The gods then choose human Avatars for themselves. The Avatars fight the minions of Necrosan, release the gods from their prison and battle Necrosan himself.

I hate to see all of that time and effort go to waste. When it comes to time consumption, stop motion animation is no joke. The problem was simply that no one asked for a sequel where you played as human avatars. The game would have allowed you to play as the saurians in their original forms, sure, but they were just reused sprites from the first game. The primary focus was on the human cast members.

You can find video of the mostly finished game on YouTube.

Ironically, the use of stop motion would've given the game a unique look which might have allowed it to be its own thing in the absence of the Primal Rage name. If they'd changed the backgrounds, and made one or two of the fighters look like they're from the modern era, they probably could have released it as its own thing.

But as a Primal Rage sequel, this could have only lost money.
