No, it's called political parties are hypocritical and only sheep buy into their BS.

If you want real change, vote these clowns out of power. Stop perpetuating "my s***ty side is less s***ty than theirs" mentality.

The GOP cozies up to nazis and white nationalists.

Its not same shit both sides.

Its a crappy political party vs. a psychotic clown car filled with religious doomsday cultists, Ayn Randians, and white nationalists.

This is P much exactly why I'm a Christian Democrat. Republicans can't be good Christians by definition. I also don't really believe in the church either since I don't fall in with the group think.

Yeah and a majority of Democrats thought Bush wanted 9/11 to happen according to polls from 2004.

Ok and?

How does that change the fact that most Republicans are racist and you made an ignorant comment?

It's called whataboutism. It's all they have.

Says the person who eagerly buys in to all the bullshit the Republicans are selling

Why do conservatives lack so much self awareness

Yes. I'm a republican that supports universal health care, climate change legislation, is pro-choice, etc.

That doesn't mean I have to suck on the DNC's teat.

We also spend more money per capita on health care than any other country in the world, yet the solution, apparently, is to spend more money.

This is why I can't support Democrats. They have the right message and the wrong solutions.

No, the way the system is set up has kept third parties from gaining power. It would take a violent revolution to make it so that another party can gain significant ground

Nah, I read an explanation that said something was lost in the translation. I may not have gotten it exactly right but it was something along those lines.

Not so much lost in translation in the literal sense as lost because the context of that time isn't familiar anymore. At that time the masters held their clothes with one hand and would strike their subjects with the other. Turning the other cheek would force them to not do a backhanded strike which would be to recognize them as equals. Jesus was an instigator of a revolution, that's why he was crucified. This was telling subjects to peacefully revolt.

You people claim to be religious and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ but you know absolutely nothing about what Jesus stood for and only use religion as a pawn to get votes. Jesus didn't believe in violence and he also spent his life helping the poor. He said himself it's basically impossible for a rich man to get in to heaven, yet you people worship the rich. You claim to care deeply about babies, but once they're out of the womb you don't give two shits about what happens to them. If Jesus came back today and saw the religious right in America he'd be ashamed to have you as followers. I've actually read the Bible.

Do you think he'd like the fact that people coming to the US to escape violence being thrown in jail and having their children taken away from them? No.

I don't believe there is a hell. But if there is one, I guarantee all of you will be burning in it. Just believing in Jesus and God isn't enough to get in to heaven. You have to live your life according to his teachings, and you people are not.

TLDR : Jesus was a LIBERAL JEW. Facts are facts, whether you like them or not.

The problem with this kind of thinking is liberals think of help in very tangible terms. How much are you giving me. What are you giving me. Aren't you making my life easier. It's like a kid thinking "help me with my homework" means "do my homework for me" instead of "get me to where I can do this stuff on my own." I actually theorize it was the rational behind "If he shal not work he shal not eat": it's easy to do nothing for yourself and demand help off the labors of others with a religion with tenants about helping the poor, but if you won't help yourself, it's less help than claiming goods without consideration for earning them, AKA taking things that don't fully belong to you, AKA theft. The person may not need the help they're asking for, they're just exploiting your religion for their own benefit to avoid responsibility for their actions.

It may not be the help you want, but to a mind vested in self reliance, it is the help you need: some tough love and real world examples of hardship to teach you actions have consequences and you need to be proactive in avoiding mistakes, not expecting the world to cover you when you make them. Just as a parent may have to let their kid be flunked a grade or punished to learn not to do it again, rather than take actions that re-enforce that there is no consequences for breaking rules you were told not to break or not doing your best.

No, they don't. Sinners go to hell. The Bible makes that plainly clear. The only exception is off you're Catholic, and confess AND TRULY REPENT FOR your sins.

No.

I was raised jn a Catholic household and went to Catholic school for the first thirteen years of my life as well as attending church every week until 13. I think I know a bit more than you.

We also spend more money per capita on health care than any other country in the world, yet the solution, apparently, is to spend more money.

This is why I can't support Democrats. They have the right message and the wrong solutions.

So you support Republicans, who have both the wrong message and the wrong solutions

Smart.

I literally have never voted for a Republican. Ever.

You do realize there are more than two political parties, right

A vote for a third party for anything outside of the local level is a wasted vote and is the same effectively as not voting at all

It's a wasted vote only because you choose to buy into the "vote for X because otherwise Y will win" bullshit that has kept these two parties in power forever.

People just double down on their dumb shit when it's laid out for them like this. The indoctrination on both sides is real.

They'll keep doing it until we really do wind up in an authoritarian shithole, one only made possible by their manufactured division and distraction. And what will they do when they realize what's happened? Will they unite against what is clearly the common enemy of tyrannical government?

No. They're going insist it's because of the other side that this happened, devolving right back into what they both did that allowed it to happen, without an iota of self awareness. A dictators wet dream.
