I've never seen it. Just Die Hard 2, which was very good. I know people really like Die Hard, but is it worth it for someone who is reasonably smart, and mostly (but not entirely) likes sophisticated arthouse films?

Yeah, 1 and 3 are like classic material. Like someone else said, 2 is like a bad parody of 1 (although still a good fun action movie)
