You can find a million articles gleefully telling you that Peterson supports "enforced monogamy" without any of them actually mentioning that he was talking about government incentives for families with kids, because they want you to think he's evil. You can find a million more highlighting that Peterson "won't use preferred pronouns" even though he's explicitly said if a student in his class asked him to use a particular pronoun he would (and has), and has challenged people saying that to find a single example in all of his recorded lectures (available online) where he actually does it.

At his very core, Peterson simply does not support identity politics. He doesn't believe they're effective because there's an endless number of ways you can subdivide people to determine who is and isn't "advantaged". The end result is policy that goes directly against what has actually worked for the vast majority of human history, which is that you should treat people as individuals and not members of a group and then make judgments and policy decisions on the basis of that group.
