I get it is singleplayer, but I have seen many more singleplayer games get talked about much longer than GoW did.

Almost no replayability hurt the game.

Also, they should have reworked difficulties because GoW mode was awful, and the first two difficulties are a joke.

The game was great, but yea I have no desire to go back and do it again since theres no real value to replaying. They said theyre adding new game plus, but too little too late imo.

Well, one problem is that getting a platinum trophy in GoW games is pretty far to the easy side of the spectrum. Besides Uncharted 1 and 2, the other 4 games I platted were the GoW trilogy and GoW 2018. There wasn't even a trophy for beating it on the hardest difficulty.

It was entirely forgettable. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent game, but it didn't do anything particularly unique or great. It's a fun romp, but once the story's done there's literally no reason to ever pick it up again. Oh, and the last boss fight is laughable.

Disagree. It's the first blockbuster, over-the-shoulder action game (like The Last of Us, Uncharted, RE4, Gears) that successfully implemented sufficient free roam and RPG elements. Oh wait unless you count HZD...and maybe The Division? Oh well, it was way better than those games while it lasted.

Gave it 2 hours and it wasn't for me.

Id say give it some more time tbh. It gives a bad first impressionmy initial thoughts were that it would be a bland linear cinematic game, especially after the first boss, but once you get to a certain point the game really opens up and feels more like a Zelda or Metroid-style game than anything, with a ton of hidden/optional content

Combat also starts out very limited but similarly feels very fluid as you unlock more upgrades

Yeah there's a lake that basically serves as a hub and you can row a boat freely to different places. That's when the free roam kind of happens. It's still mostly a linear game though...nothing like The Witcher 3. A lot smaller, but way more polished.

All story driven single player games just come and go.
