Current Events > Symphony of the Night fans, have you ever played Rondo of Blood?

I don't know how common knowledge it is at this point but the two form a complete story. It's kind of an odd pairing though since Rondo is totally in the classic Castlevania style, but at the same time a perfect pairing since they're probably the best in the series of each style.

For those who have, which version did you play and how do you feel it holds up today?

I played the PSP remake, and I really liked it. Then I tried the port of the original version, and wow, the remake is so goddamn easy compared to it.

I disagree. The classic series has an actual beginning and end. Also, just keeping track of the different generations and the characters from each is pretty interesting in itself.

It's more like a bridge between classic and SotN.

It's basically SotN with the stupid rpg shit hacked out although it came before SotN.

The levels are way more straight-forward though, and actually levels.
