Why the fuck would you expect only visual ads on a music streaming platform? People usually aren't looking at them all the time, it would make having ads pointless. Do you think Pandora is going to keep a bunch of advertisers if they tell them "Oh you can't have any audio in your ads anymore, sorry"?

No one would look at those ads though. You can turn music on a device and listen to it without staring at it. The only reason they can charge money for ad spots is because people have to listen to them.
