Dracula has the benefit if being a talkie, which allowed it to give more complex dialogue and exposition, but Nosferatu holds up better as a horror film imo. By 1931 Hollywood movies had become fairly indistrialized, vs the more artistic approach (for the time) taken by Murnau, and it makes for a more effectively chilling film imo.

Nosferatu's the better film overall.
Dracula's the easier film to pick up and rewatch.

Lugosi > Nosferatu.

He has a nice voice and cool armadillos but he has not aged as well as good ol Orlock

Also I will say that Renfields descent into madness is particularly excellent acting for the era

English.

The Spanish version fixes the ending (sorta) and provides overall better acting and direction. But it also butchers my favorite scene, the confrontation between Dracula and Van Helsing, and there's just no comparison for the performances of Bela Lugosi, Dwight Frye, and Edward Van Sloan.
