I will happily go on record saying that Revolver was not a great game

It wasn't bad, but calling it great is a big stretch

Yeah, it was okay... but I was thinking R* had nothing to do with it and took over the franchise for the sequel that went in a much different direction?

Lets just stick to the real point here, there was never a time R* released 3 great games in a year and it was few and far between when they would release 2 great or even decent games in a year.

yep

Imagine thinking that San Andreas and Red Dead Revolver weren't great games.

What don't you understand about few and far between?

I misread, but it is still bullshit either way.

Rockstars games were fun as hell and great for the generation they came out in. I'll never understand the weird thing CE does where Rockstars old games are held up to the standards of modern gaming but literally every other game is held up to the standards of their time.

Really when it comes to their open world games only Red Dead Redemption actually holds up well. Vice City and San Andreas are just a clunky mess and GTA 4 is incredibly difficult to play after playing 5. Still, great games for their time but im still sticking with the fact that Rockstar has never had a single year where they have released 2 or 3 great games.
