And honestly, it's the kind of movie that you can't expect most people to handle, so it makes sense that it's underrated. I just saw Heat and that's pretty overrated. And yeah, most comic book movies get more credit than they're worth. KILBOTz 06/22/18 10:48:22 AM #9:	I have never gotten why people say The Shining is great. I can get liking it, there are a number of good elements in it, but Shelly Duvall is just so amazingly awful. Jack Nicholson almost works for me just because I can actually believe him being that crazy, but there is still something about his performance that just is too over the top for me. The Fountain I think is just pure shit. Aronofsky is hit or miss for me. Not a fan of Pi either. Kung Fu Hustle I think is one of the best movies of the 21st century, though most people are relatively positive about it, just not to the extent I am. Dirty Work is one of my favorite comedies though it has been about 10 years since I watched it, no clue if it still holds up. John Carter I think is really underrated, though not a great movie. Best live action Disney movie since the first Pirates of the Caribbean. That's part of what I mean, like a lot of his character seems to be Jack Nicholson, not Jack Torrance. Like if I didn't know Nicholson's other work and he was a no-name actor, I would probably think the portrayal was amazing. But him being a half step below Busey and that being known makes it less acting and more filming a deranged man reading lines while actors are terrified and don't know what to do.
