You don't always have to say girl, woman, or female. Telling us he was talking to the XY and not just the other person seemed redundant to me since we could have gotten that from context. So that on top of pointing out the sex seemed odd, but by no means do i find it to be a huge deal or something.


The female part may have been redundant, youre right. I wrote it to not include any ambiguity between co-workers (the kid and her), in case the story happened to call for it. I didnt go back to correct it because it was already written and didnt think it was a big deal and it added detail anyway.

Its so funny and richly deserved that this topic went down in flames in the way it did. Shame on TC for making a topic about a disabled person. Whats next, youre going to remark on someone with Parkinsons using a walker?
