Yes, being a fanboy is mostly a negative term but we are all fanboys to something and the better we accept it the better everyone can live their lives.

There is no shame in being a fanboy and willing to acknowledge it. For example, I am a Capcom fanboy. I am so loyal to the company that I will defend them almost every chance I get, I still play most of their games and will continue to support them unless they do something crazy like kill people. Oh yeah, I am partial to them, I favor them over any other company, I am bias for them, I make exceptions to whatever bullshit they do like DLCs, I am a hippocrit for them. What drives us to be a fanboy? Now that's another topic but for now we just need to learn to accept that we do in fact fanboy certain things.

So yeah when you show obvious signs of being a fanboy then you need to just accept that youa re one. It will no longer sound insulting infact it will start sounding endearing. I am a proud Capcom fanboy.
