I assume you're talking about America breaking international law with it's family separation policy.

Ironically i just learnt that they were taking away the kids because...that's the law. Its been illegal to keep the kids with the parents while the parents are incarcerated (so they're awaiting trial or whatever. Not the same as if they were just held in a detention center) since the late 90s. So they basically had no choice.

The only thing that really causes trouble is incarcerating asylum seekings, as opposed to everyday border crossers (and means asylum seekers are incarcerated, which then means the kids have to be taken away when normally for that specific group, they wouldn't be).
