Got the lucky abilities equipped, but no fucking ring because I can't make a fucking ring without three of these fucking items.

Yup. Pride Lands and Tron. Went for a vendor for a bit but even though the wiki says those drop them apparently they don't? Everywhere else I look says these 2 others and I've seen videos and shit. Of course there are so few of them and a pain in the ass to respawn.

Yup. That took me a good hour last time when I got the platinum. Once again, got it no problem on PS2 and even on PS3. I always remember it because it's a cool looking shield. Had to grind for it on PS4 and that was a bit of a pain.

Alright. Worked out. Had a snack. Got my podcast playing and going back in. Gonna fucking do this.

Between this and you saying you need a ring, I remember the items you're grinding for. Took me about 6 hours for my first one, 3-4 for the next two because they stack... Slightly.

Hardest item I've ever got in a video game?

A second golden shirt in golden sun the lost age

Basically, you can only get it if you import a file from the first game that won colosso, and you get it after trial road so you can't duplicate it. But there's a glitch that nobody has figured out how to recreate but has several confirmed cases of happening, where you get attacked, beat the enemies, then instead of loading the post-battle scene the game instead resets to when you entered that area, resulting in the scene that results in a battle occuring again. And that scene still triggers a battle, resulting in you getting the item. Again.

Meaning that barring somebody figuring out how to consistently trigger this glitch and given the game boards for it are all but dead, it's likely the rarest item in any game I've ever obtained.

That's pretty mild farming. Lots of games simply have horrible drop rates. Mostly gear heavy stuff like Monster Hunter or Diablo.

It actually was cause it let me make an item that increased drop %s and I got enough to make 2 more really fast, so then I was rocking 3 percentage multipliers in top of the ones I already had and I now have every single item I'll ever need.

That one bad patch was just crap, but hey I got everything now and can get the Ultimate Keyblade as soon as I beat one of the bosses.

You gotta breed a silver chocobo to fight Sapphire Weapon under the Midgar Swamp. Then you have to fight Cheese Weapon on the moon that drops the rare item cheese. This lets you talk to Choco Billy for him to give you a side quest to breed cows for him. After you breed 2 Wonderful Cows and breed them, you get a gold cow. If you take the gold cow and ride it into Midgar, then go to the church where Aeris appears, Zack will be there and he will kill Cloud and take the Buster sword back from him and join your party.

I spent around 15 hours grinding in The After Years for that stupid nut or bolt (whichever was rarer) that you had to pick up to save Calca and Brina.

Sad thing is my wii died before I could even finish that playthrough.

When you beat Sapphire Weapon, he tells the party about Cheese Weapon being on the moon. Cid then says "let's take the rocket to the moon." He then repairs it and you take the rocket in Rocket Town there.
