Can't help but wonder about those bad apples. Not blaming all mods here. Some are pretty cool.

Others seem like douche nozzles who unzip and start picking out their target posts and get excited.

In all honesty, I deserve almost all of the mods I get, I think. It's the reasoning behind the moderation itself and the double standards that make me laugh.

There is a certain power-fantasy that seems to play into forum moderation in general. I'm not saying anyone here is a particularly egregious example anymore, but some of the moderations I've seen (and received) were for the most derivative things you could imagine. I once got modded for using the spoiler tag for something that wasn't considered a spoiler.
