Too many times I've done that in anticipation of lightning I KNOW is coming, but it ends up being too soon, and the lightning hits me. I have to remember to wait, or even stop, and let the lightning come to me, then press circle. The worst is when you get into a random encounter AT the lightning spot. You'll get hit by lightning immediately after the battle. The field fades in after battle, but you still have to keep an eye out for the flash while the field fades in. If you know it's coming immediately after battle, you can't button-mash circle. The lightning will just hit. You have to wait like, 1/10th of a second... --- WHO MODS THE MODERATORS? ... If it's the PC version there's a script for that. That wouldn't work though, because I like getting the Venus Sigil on my first visit.
