-It's currently 450 instead of 500 - I already have a standard Xbox One - I do not have a 4K TV, but I would appreciated improved framerates and being able to output 4K photos in games with photo modes --- kin to all that throbs ... Copied to Clipboard!

Do you have a use for having two Xbox Ones (or are you going to sell your regular one if you buy the X)?
If not, then I'd say nah. Get a PS4 or Switch instead, or just save your money. If you would have a use for two or sell the old one to offset the cost, sure, why not. Even if you don't have a 4K TV now, there's still yeah, the better framerates. Also, not sure if XB1X can, but PS4 Pro can (as of a recent update) render in 4K then downsample if your TV doesn't support 4K, which still ends up looking better than native 1080p rendering. If XB1X can do this too, that's another benefit. And of course, you might get a 4K TV in the future. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Do you plan on buying a new TV within the next year? If so its worth it. Every single TV out there is 4k at this point. You're hard pressed to find a non 4k one anymore unless you're digging in the budget bin.

I upgraded back in April, didn't cost me anything but some Gamestop points and a gift card.
I don't have a 4K TV, and the supposed framerate improvements have not been noticable at all so far. Unless you plan on getting a 4K TV soon, it's not worth it at this time. You'd be better off waiting for a Gamestop console trade in bonus than taking the 50 dollars off I think. (Unless they are running one now, I have no idea) Edit: Apparently they lowered the trade price for Xbox One original so nevermind, I thought they were still giving out like 125 to 150 for it before the trade boost deals. --- ...
