Same, out of respect mostly. I talk to a lot of them too. I have a 5.0 rating and I take trips weekly (and have for years now).

I wondered this myself when I first started using lyft.

I sit in front passenger seat, more leg room. Thankfully I don't have to care about what the proper etiquette is considered.

But for what it's worth I've been told to sit up front by an uber driver before so took that to mean it's best to sit up front.

Same lol. There are rare times where I don't want to talk but talking just makes the commute feel a lot faster. And it feels weird talking to someones back
