Personally speaking, I think Sony outdid Microsoft a tiny bit because they showed actual gameplay for some massive exclusive games. They took the opportunity to show how the games play and while there were fewer "reveals", they showed the games being played.

I love what Microsoft did by going out and showing that they fucking care about games. They wanted to show a whole bunch of stuff you can play, and play BEST, on Xbox One. But a lot of CG trailers and logo reveals.

I don't think Microsoft had anything that hit me emotionally like Last of Us 2, that hyped me more than Spider-Man, or intrigued me more than Death Stranding.

Microsoft's conference was literally so boring that me and the Mrs. started having sex midway through to help pass the time.

Sonys was more condensed and to the point, weird music bullshit aside. I vote them.

Sony showed more exclusives I'm interested in, but Microsoft had the better put together presentation. I'm so tired of all the fluff and extra shit some of these companies do. Like why the f did we need that banjo music first? Why did Ubi need that ridiculously long and over the top intro to Just Dance?

Depends on what you're trying to measure. I was way more excited by what I saw at Microsoft's conference, but most of those announcements weren't really theirs. Sony's conference was clunky but I have to have those exclusives.

I have to give it to Microsoft for putting on a hell of a show. They didn't sell me an XBox but I was thoroughly entertained.

In some respects I think that is more for the people at the venue. Like, they are putting on a show because... that is literally what they are doing. They should do something that warrants a live presser as opposed to just doing a Nintendo Direct style thing.

Ya know, I legitimately could have. I turned it on around 9pm when they were demoing Last of Us 2. Was there much more stuff before that?

Well they had a weird church sermon before that. Then a long banjo performance. Then the Last of Us demo. Then a 15-20 minute intermission followed by a flute thing performance.

They're about even for me. Sony fucked up with that first part; shoulda just had that segment prerecorded if they wanted'a do that ta cut out the wait time

After that tho everything they showed off was great other'n that weirdo in the bathtub

Microsoft made a good move adoptin' that back-ta-back trailer format'n showed off some cool shit, even if barely any of it was Xbox stuff

Don't get me wrong...I'm all for people coming out and talking/introducing games, but we could do without the big fluff added on to it. I don't think I saw a single audience reaction today where someone was genuinely thrilled with one of these things. For the most part, especially when it comes to Ubi, its just full on cringeworthy.
