I am strongly for globalisation and free trade between countries.

I support "the state" and paying taxes to government, for universal health care, roads, hospitals, public housing, welfare.

I support government cutting those public offerings to people who coast on it. Basically, my line of thinking is "help those who help themselves". No welfare if you're able to work and aren't actively attempting to find work, for example.

I support capitalist economic activity, aside from those public rights I mentioned earlier.

I am pro abortion and pro gay rights.

I am atheist.

I support in private property ownership rights.

I am for drug decriminalisation and harm minimisation.

I reject discrimination by private business - refusing service based on race, religious beliefs etc should be illegal.

Left wing economically.

Generally, left wing, but vague enough that it could be interpreted either way and would more likely be centrist. Universal healthcare is decidedly more left wing, though.

Centrist, mostly. Not all left wing ideologies are against capitalism, it's just the degree too which the capitalist entities can operate.

Traditionally, this would be left wing, but these things are really only a hot button for far right wing nowadays. These are barely political issues anymore in most circumstances, except maybe abortion. It would only mean that the far right is not a good fit for you.

Some critics will argue that anyone left of the center are against private property, but that's not even remotely the case.

These are generally left-upper on the compass.

Basically, you'd be close to the center, with a bias for left and on the up-down axis would probably have you about a 3rd-1/2 way up.

Thanks, makes sense to me. I always considered myself centre-left but wasn't sure on some aspects.

You have to remember that no political ideology is going to cover every single possible opinion you might have. Most of the parties that have existed over time have actually existed because people disagreed on a couple random issues. If it wasn't like that, there would only be five ideologies. Try not to define your beliefs by party lines and instead just find ideologies that reflect the most of what you already believe.

Yeah, I've voted for three different parties in Australia since I started voting 10 years ago based on what I feel was the right decision at the time. I definitely don't think one party should be in power forever, fuck that. But I also hate going Labor > Liberal > Labor > Liberal in Australia.

Sounds like the more progressive wing of the Third Way Democrat movement, or ironically, Trump in the 90s or his 2000 presidential campaign aside from the trade aspect.
