"I think I should move again," you say.

You go four squares and get behind Raydon's Warlock. He'll have to waste a turn getting around to you.

"I will move, as well," Raydon says.

But to your surprise, he doesn't chase you. He instead goes over to where Randson is.

"I attack Ratmir," Rondel says.

Rondel being a Monk and Ratmir being a Warlock, Rondel has the attack advantage of his 9 Strength to Ratmir's 6 Defense. In other words, he takes back his two tokens and makes a gain of one.

"I will move," Randson says.

Druids are moderately fast like Warlocks, so he moves over five squares to get away from Raydon.

"I'll attack Reece," Ralph says.

Monk against a Knight, especially a Knight defending with his shield, the Strength and Defense are even. But it seems Ralph is looking to break Reece's shield anyway.

"I vill hit Rondel back," Ratmir says.

Two tokens go back Ratmir's way.

"I'll retaliate against Ralph," Reece says.

Knight hitting a Monk is a bit different, the Knight's 7 Strength and Monk's 6 Defense gives Reece one token.

"I will move," Rinaldo says.

Being that Hunters have such good range, they don't need to move very far, so they only have a Speed of 4 like Mages. He goes three spaces forward and a space to the side so that he's near the middle of the board.

Ryan's Ninja is revealed, and he's next to Raydon! Raydon ended up moving near him!

"I attack Raydon!" he says quickly.

Raydon gives Ryan two tokens for the difference in their stats.

"Alright, I guess I should attack," you say. "Mage Range isn't as good, so I'll have to attack..."

Mages and their 8 Spell power against Hunter 5 Defense gets you three tokens.

"I will Curse Ryan," Raydon says.

Raydon gives up a token, and now Ryan's Ninja has a dark cloud around him. This will not only take tokens from Ryan every round, but it'll expose him even if he uses Stealth.

"I should've remembered that," Ryan says.

"I attack Ratmir," Rondel says.

Rondel takes three tokens from Ratmir.

"I will defend," Randson says.

"I'll attack Reece," Ralph says.

Ralph's Monk hits Reece's Knight shield, but it stays in one piece.

"I vill attack Rondel," Ratmir says. "We are now back to the square one."

"I will attack Ralph," Reece says.

Reece again gets one token from Ralph.

"I will shoot back at Rorek," Rinaldo says.

His Hunter definitely hits your Mage, and his Strength to your Mage's Defense, you give over three tokens.

"I will hit Raydon again," Ryan says.

Ryan takes two tokens from Raydon, but has to give up one for being Cursed.

"What're you guys up to?" Raven asks as she swims over.

"Playing a magic board game," you say. "Which distracted me from your volleyball game, I'm sorry. How did you do?"

"We won!" she grins as she hops up next to you.

"That's wonderful!" you say as you wrap an arm around her. "What was the final score?"

"I think it was 15 to 10," she says. "We smoked them."

"Impressive," you say.

"So what exactly is this magic board game you're playing?" she asks.

"It's called Battle Royale," you say. "It's like a more simplified Dungeons and Dragons, where you simply choose your character and battle it out until there's only one player standing."

"Neat," she says. "Which one are you?"

"Over here," you say. "The Mage in white."

"And are you winning?"

"Not exactly," you say. "Though Raydon's definitely doing the worst right now, he's down to three health tokens."

"Ouch," she chuckles. "Whose playing as what?"

"Raydon in the gold is a Warlock. Rondel in the blue is a Monk."

"A monk? Like, pacifism and prayers?"

"No, this would be a spiritual warrior monk."

"Oh."

"Randson in the green is a Druid."

"That makes sense."

"Ralph is orange and also a Monk, while Ratmir is also a Warlock in the dark red. Reece is a Knight in the lighter purple, while Rinaldo is in the darker purple as a Hunter. Ryan is-- Ryan, stop staring at Raven, you'll scare her off."

Ryan looks up from Raven's chest.

"You chose the Ninja and yet you have no subtlety," Reece smirks.

"Did your cousins get eliminated already or did they just not play?" Raven asks.

"Oh, that's right, I haven't seen Ross and Reed since getting back. Have you all seen them?"

"I think Ross mentioned he was working on something," Randson says. "He wouldn't go into detail as to what. As for Reed, he got a little too flirty with Regina and got slapped for it. He went to get ice but hasn't come back."

"Well, she did get him pretty good," Ralph chuckles.

"And he probably doesn't want to worry about Rinaldo," Reece adds.

"So how long does this game usually take?" Raven asks.

"It varies," you say. "Why?"

"Well, I was hoping to swim around with you a bit more before dinner time."

"Okay then," you say. "Sorry gents, I'll be exiting the game then."

"Well you've won already as it is," Ralph says.

The others chuckle while you toss away your tokens and make your figurine disappear. You then hop off the side of the pool and into the water. You paddle away with Raven while the rest of the boys continue playing.

You and Raven go off towards the center of the pool.

"I was also hoping to talk to you about some things, too," Raven says.

"Oh? Like what?"

"Our little... getaway later."

"Oh of course. What specifically, then?"

"If we're going for a dip in the waterfall pool," she says, "how are we supposed to sneak away with our swimsuits? We'll be in our dinner clothes."

"We'll have time to go to our rooms, since we'll be 'searching' the house anyway. We can get our swim wear at that time, before going to the kitchen to pick up our helpings of dessert."

"Are you sure we'll be able to get away with that?" she asks.

"We'll have to. Otherwise it'll be skinny dipping for the two of us, and nights get pretty chilly here, even in the Summer."

Raven blushes while biting her lower lip in a smile.

"Raven," you say with a bit of surprise, "what are you thinking in that head of yours?"

"Well, I mean," she blushes more. "I've already seen that sweet booty of yours, and you've seen quite a bit of me over just these last few weeks, so... Why don't we just do that?"

"Well okay," you say. "But, we'll have to do the full reveal."

"F...Full reveal?"

"Yes," you say. "We put our clothes aside and bare it all in front of each other. No hurrying into the water."

Raven blushes as she coasts to a stop.

"O-Okay," she says. "We'll do it."

"Alright, then we'll be-- Wait, you said yes?"

"Y-Yes..."

"Oh. I honestly expected you to shy away from that. Then, I guess it's decided."

"Okay then."

The two of you are awkwardly silent as you just float near where you were sitting earlier.

"Alright, everyone," Nadine says. "Get freshened up for dinner."

Everyone climbs out of the pool and dries off with towels. Then you all head indoors and upstairs to your rooms.

As you change clothes in your room, you figure you will just leave your trunks behind since you and Raven are suprisingly going skinny dipping. Thinking about it makes your face burn red and your heart pound faster, so you take deep breaths to calm down. You finish dressing and head back downstairs.

As you make your way to the kitchen, you group with everyone else. Raven walks up beside you and the two of you walk arm-in-arm into the dining hall. Raven looks back over her shoulder to smirk at the other suitors.

With the same seating arrangement as before, everyone sits down at the table, joined by the other families. Your cousins finally reappear and quietly sit with their parents.

"So, Ross, I heard you were working on something by yourself," you say. "What exactly were you doing?"

"Nothing too crucial," he says. "Just needed to put some finishing touches on my gift for Uncle Ronald."

"Oh, yes, Ross always does so well with handcrafted gifts," Rebecca says.

"His wood-carved bookends for our room are so lovely," Roselind says.

"Yes, they are," you say. "Is it another wood item or something else?"

"Well I can't really say, that'd ruin some of the surprise," he says.

Raven suddenly coughs quite a bit.

"Oh, Raven, are you all right?" you ask.

"Just a tickle in my throat," she says, "*cough* he's lying */cough*"

"I'm sorry?"

Raven scrunches her face up with nervousness as she tries to rethink her words.

"Do you know German?" she whispers.

"Etwas (Some)."

"Er hat gelogen (He lied)," she says.

"Wie kannst du das wissen? (How do you know that?) Deine Empathie... Uh..."

"Er fhlte etwas (He felt something)," she insists. "Er knnte etwas verbergen. (He might be covering for something.)"

"Are you two talking about me?" Ross asks.

"Wei er Deutsch? (Does he know German?)" she asks you.

"No, he's just intuitive," you say. "Sorry, I don't know enough German to say that."

"You were talking about me," he says. "Why?"

"Well, her Empathy picked up on something," you admit.

"Picked up on what?" he asks.

"That you might be lying," Raven says a bit sheepishly.

"You're going to accuse me of lying?" he says. "When you're not even honest about yourself?"

"Ross," you reprimand.

"What's he talking about?" Father asks. "What's Raven not being honest about?"

"It's her father," you say. "He was a delinquent. A monster, even. Mother heard about this earlier, it's a very sensitive subject."

"Yes, I believe you said he's dead," Mother says. "But you knew Raven wouldn't want to go into detail."

"Yes, he was very, very horrible," you say.

"Very," Raven adds. "And technically a dead beat. He was never there, didn't do anything to raise me, but in retrospect, that was for the best."

"Was your father powerful like you?" Father asks.

"Oh, yes, actually," she says. "Very strong. And he tried to use that power to take over the world, but I stopped him. And..."

"Raven, you don't have to say it," you say.

Raven nods, adding a bit of sadness to her expression.

The soup is served and everyone takes up their spoons. It is a delicious mushroom cream soup with minced mushroom mixed in. A nice mellow start to the meal.

"Well, wait," Father says. "If your father was that powerful, how do we not know about either of you?"

"Ronald," Mother scolds. "It's a sensitive subject, we aren't supposed to talk about it."

"Right, right, of course," he says. "I'm sorry."

"It's alright," Raven says.

Everyone eats through the soup, and then the appetizer comes out.

"Oh these look wonderful," Mother says.

"I knew you would perfect this," you say to Penelope and Carter. "Well done."

"Thank you, young master," they smile and nod.

"Mmm, is that apple I taste?" Mother asks.

"Yes," Penelope says. "It is apple bacon risotto, another idea of Young Master Rorek's."

"I was hoping to have more of Rory's cooking," Renee smiles.

"Actually, I let Penelope and Carter make this themselves," you say. "Everything prepared tonight will be made by them."

"Oh," Renee says, disappointed. "Well, at leazt it tastes good."

"It tastes wonderful," Raven says.

"Thank you," Penelope smiles.

"An interesting choice, bacon on risotto," Regina says. "Much like putting bacon on that salmon the other night."

"What can I say," you shrug. "Bacon is very appetizing."

"Especially when it's this thickly cut," Raven says. "So juicy."

After the appetizer is the salad, a nice Caeser salad with namesake dressing now. Everyone munches and crunches while having lighter dinner conversation about the activities of the day. Apparently while you and the children were at the lake and the pool, the fathers all had a rousing game of cricket and the mothers caught up on all the happenings since the last time everyone was together.

"I don't really understand cricket, but that definitely sounds exciting," Raven says.

"We should play a game together," Uncle Roger says. "All the men, so we can all show our sons and nephews what real cricket looks like."

"Oh, well, it might have to wait until Thursday before Father's party," you say. "I promised Raven a day in the library."

"All day?" Grandfather Sixth says.

"Well, most of it," you say. "I promised this several days ago but Raven's been really looking forward to it."

Raven's excited expression definitely lends to why you can't break this promise.

"Well that's probably for the best," Father says. "We older gents will need a day to recover, even with magic."

Everyone chuckles and finishes their salads. That is when the main dish is served, and everyone sees the Boeuf Bourguignon.

"Oh, what a wonderful scent," Mother says. "Braised beef bourgogne, yes?"

"Yes, with special liberties as suggested by Young Master Rorek," Carter says.

Everyone picks up their forks and knifes and digs in.

"So tender!" Mr. Dubois says. "It just peels apart!"

"And it's zo zweet!" Mrs. Dubois says. "Iz zat... Honey?"

"Yes," Carter says. "Rorek suggested kneading in honey while we tenderized the beef, and we decided to go with raw, unprocessed honey for a purer flavor."

"Delicious!" your sisters both say.

"Even the carrots and potatoes on the side are good," Mother says. "They're just the right tenderness to match the meat. And of course, the sauce they all soak in is wonderful, with a hint of honey from the beef."

Raven is beaming again, which warms your heart to see. You also enjoy it yourself, it has the salty taste of the beef fat and the sweet taste of the organic honey for a great contrast.

And after the main dish is dessert, the Lemon Curd Italiano Semifreddo.

"What nice layering," Mrs. Bellatino says.

"So creamy," Regina says.

"Oh~!" Raven says. "So tangy and sweet."

"So, Rory," Reece says. "Care to restart our game of Battle Royale or do you have another game in mind?"

This is your moment, and Raven anxiously looks at you.

"I was thinking we could play Hide and Seek," you say. "I will be the seeker while everyone else hides."

"Now hold on a moment," Renee says. "How do we know you won't use this game to sneak away with Raven?"

Raven tries not to glare at Renee, though you yourself are annoyed that someone pointed out a flaw in your plan.

"Well, because..." you say, trying to think of a reason.

"There wouldn't be anywhere to sneak off to. You will all be in different rooms around the manor, where would Raven and I possibly go to hide?"

"Well," Renee says. "I suppose zat iz true. But just in case, we should make sure you and Raven can't just find each other."

"Agreed," Roxanne says. "Zerefore, we should put powerful barriers on both zeir rooms, and even around the mansion so zat zey cannot sneak back to the pool."

"A very good idea," Renee says.

"Are you serious?" Raven says. "You're both overreacting."

"Are we?" they both say.

"Uh, yeah," Raven says.

"You don't need to put a barrier on the mansion," you say. "And you don't have to put a barrier on Raven's room. Putting one on my room is actually fair, I wouldn't want anyone trying to hide in there."

"I second that," Raven says.

"Fine," Renee says. "But we need a way to make sure you two don't just use this game as a way out."

"Perhaps a locational Binding spell," Roxanne suggests.

"Ugh," Ruby groans. "You two are so hypocritical. Imagine how annoyed you'd be if the tables were turned."

"Oh butt out of it, Ruby," Renee retorts.

"Everyone stop," Father says. "There will be no barriers on the mansion, and there will be no means of blocking Raven from going anywhere."

"Thank you, Father," you say. "So there you have it. It will be Hide 'n' Seek, I will search while everyone else hides, and trust that I will find you before the night is over."

All the suitors nod in agreement, and everyone moves on to finish dessert. You wash it all down with a tall glass of milk.

"Alright," you say after wiping your lips on your napkin. "Let's go ahead and start the game. I will count to 30 in the hallway while everyone else runs and hides."

You and the others stand up and walk to the exit while everyone--or at least the girls--rush out ahead.

"One," you count. "Two. Three."

"Are you really not sneaking off with Raven?" Raydon asks.

"Shh. Five."

"Well that's a yes," Ralph says.

"Don't worry," Reece says. "If our sisters try anything, we'll keep them back."

"Well thank you," you say. "Eight. Nine. Ten."

[cut to Raven]

Raven hurries upstairs, but obviously not to hide. She just wants to drop off her heels and pick up her sandals. However, Renee and Roxanne follow her.

"What're you two doing?" Raven grumbles.

"Keeping an eye on you," Renee says.

"So zat you cannot slip away to meet with Rory," Renee says.

"You two may insist zat you're not going anywhere," Roxanne says. "But we know better."

Raven senses the two of them are going to make a move with magic, so she needs to make a move first.

Raven fires Disorientation Magic, but both Renee and Roxanne are ready as they reflect the spells back. Raven defends, but they come back with Binding Magic. Roxanne swings shackles while Renee throws a big net. Raven blasts all those away with Arcana Melleo, then uses her levitation to fly up and over them.

"Get back here!" Renee shouts.

She and Roxanne shoot their own Melleo but Raven manages to evade. Raven has to stop as Roxanne puts up a barrier. Raven turns around to see Renee preparing an Arcana Wall!

"Arcana Stellae Magna!" Raven says.

She fires massive spheres at the French duo, who take cover behind their own barriers. Raven gets moving again, but the two follow after on foot.

"Hold on, you two," Raydon says as he and Rondel walk in their sisters' way.

"Out of ze way!" Renee shouts.

"Move, Rondel!" Roxanne shouts.

"No," Rondel says.

"Fine!" Renee says. "Then we'll make you!"

But before Renee and Roxanne can do anything, their brothers use Binding magic to tie their hands and feet up.

"Thanks!" Raven says as she flies off.

[cut to Rorek]

You pick up the carefully wrapped slices of the lemon curd semifreddo and sealed bottles of milk inside the picnic basket.

"Thank you again, you two," you say in a hushed tone to Carter and Penelope.

"You're welcome, young master," Penelope replies while she and Carter give short bows.

"Rorek?" Raven says as she walks in.

"There you are," you say. "Are you ready?"

"I'll have to be," she grumbles. "Renee and Roxanne basically followed me to my room in an attempt to keep me locked up here. Didn't have enough time to switch to my flats."

"Well that's alright, we'll be swimming soon enough. Now let's get going."

"This way," Carter says as he opens the back door to the kitchen.

You and Raven hurry over and slip out into the night.

"See you in a bit," you say as Carter closes the door.

You hold onto the basket while Raven holds on to you. She flies up and carries you back towards the trail where you rode the horses that morning.

"Okay, so where is the waterfall?" she asks.

"Fly off slightly East of the lake," you say. "If we go high enough, you should be able to spot it, even by moonlight."

Raven first heads off by the direction of the lake, then curves more to the right to fly North by Northwest. As you go, you see the lake first, so you know you're on the right track.

"Is that it?" Raven asks. "That river with the white foam?"

"Yes, that should be it," you say. "Let's go ahead and land to be sure."

Raven heads down to the ground, and as you draw closer, it is indeed the waterfall you know.

"Wow..." Raven says as she watches the water shine in the moonlight. "It's beautiful."

You touch the ground and walk towards the pond where the waterfall pools.

"Okay," you say as you set the picnic table down and spread out the plaid picnic blanket. "Let's..."

"Undress and skinny dip."

"A-Alright," she says shyly.

The both of you start by slipping off your shoes. You take your socks off and tuck them into the shoes while Raven sheepishly slips her dress off her shoulders. She lets it slink down onto the picnic blanket while you unbutton and pull off your shirt.

Raven waits, covering her underwear up while you undo your pants. She can't hide all of it, though, you see that there are no bra straps and the hips of the bottoms are rather slim.

"Is that... Is that a thong?" you ask.

Raven turns red as she nods.

"Turn around," you say. "Let me see."

Raven's eyes widen as she looks up at you.

"Oh come on," you say. "We're both going to be nude in about a minute, I can at least see that cute little butt in a thong."

She grumbles, and turns around. You resist biting your lower lip as you see the black line disappear between the cheeks.

You pull your pants down, which suddenly seems naughtier than it is. Raven reaches behind her to undo the latch on her bra. She drops that on the blanket and turns back around.

"Okay," she says, sounding nervous. "I guess it's time... To take off our underwear..."

"Right," you say, voice cracking from nerves just a bit.

You clear your throat.

"Well," you say. "Ladies first."

"W-What? No way, you're the gentleman. You should go first."

"Alright, alright," you say. "We'll go at the same time. Count of three."

"Okay," she nods. "One. Two. Three!"

You yank your boxer briefs down to your knees.

"Haaaah~!?" Raven says, bright red as her panties are still up.

"Raven!" you say. "What're you doing? We agreed!"

"I-I thought you were going to trick me, so I didn't," she stammers. "I... I-I'm sorry...!"

Despite her being bright red, she doesn't look away from between your legs.

"Raven," you say, snapping her out of it.

"Sorry!" she says, still a bit flustered. "I mean, I know I saw some of it in Hawaii, but seeing the whole thing... But, right, sorry, let's get in the water."

She turns towards the pool and starts walking.

"Raven, you still have your underwear on."

"Oh, right! Sorry."

She nervously pulls down her bottoms, having to bend over as she does. She puts it on the blanket with the rest of the clothing, then stands there nervously covering up.

"Don't cover up," you say. "I'm not."

She grumbles and forces her hands behind her back.

"Oh," you say. "When did you get waxed?"

"I've never waxed!" she says. "I just... Never had to worry about hair either..."

"Oh," you say. "W-Well. Let's just get in the water."

"That's what I said!" she pouts as you jog to the pool.

She follows behind and the two of you splash in.

You swim right for the waterfall, and Raven follows behind. The crashing of the waters grows louder the closer you come, and you feel the mist floating in the air.

"It's gentler than I expected," she says.

"Yes, I think it's the shallow slope that leads the river here," you say.

You two reach the waterfall's landing zone, and let the water shower down on you as you pass through.

"Ooo~, I like that," Raven says with a giggling shiver. "It's refreshing."

"It is, isn't it?" you say.

You stop under the waterfall, in an alcove created by an indentation in the side of the cliff. Raven joins you, and though your eyes adjust to the darkness, it's still hard to see.

"Y'know, in here," Raven says, "it's not so embarrassing. I mean, we're both still naked, but we can't see each other."

"You shouldn't be so embarrassed," you say. "You're beautiful."

"That doesn't negate feeling shy while naked," she chuckles. "Why aren't you embarrassed?"

"I guess I have more confidence in myself."

"I guess you do," she says.

"Oh, Raven, don't sound so down," you say.

You want to move in closer, but with how dark it is, you don't want to bump into her. You decide to let out a couple Arcana Stellae to light the alcove. You find her only a few feet away from you, the water lapping up against her chest. She blushes again now that you two can see each other.

"Be bold," you say. "You don't need to be shy with what you have."

Raven still blushes as you send your stars up higher. They reach the top of the alcove, and it's a rather rocky ceiling.

"Oh, there is room to stand," you say.

You start to stand up but Raven covers her eyes.

"Rorek, warn me!" she says.

"Oh, sorry," you say.

"But, if you don't want to be at eye level with it, stand up."

Raven nervously glances around, which is silly because it's just the two of you. She carefully stands up, and you create a few more stars to light up the alcove. With the lights and shadows cast on her curves, Raven starts to shy away again.

"Raven, come now," you say as you step closer.

Raven looks up, blushing red as she tries not to look down. You wade closer, and reach out to smooth your hands on her shoulders. She keeps her eyes locked on yours, but you can tell they're tempted to look elsewhere. To be honest, yours are, too.

Your hands smooth down her arms, to her hands, and brings them up to your lips to kiss. You kiss her fingers and her palms, then up to the wrists. The two of you move closer, and she tenses up again.

"It's..." she says. "I-It's gonna--"

"Relax," you say. "Don't think about it. Just, step, forward."

You lean into Raven and she is a bit surprised though she goes along. You two sit back down in the water, and then you gently move on top.
