I mean I just straight up called a CE user a pedophile like 30 times last night, among other things, and the only post that got modded (and subsequently warned) was one of the few where I simply implied it.

I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies of moderations. It's a shame that very little happened, tbh.

Because people think supporting anything less than life imprisonment for pedophiles regardless of whether or not they have acted is considered defending.

no it's not. saying the right word doesn't mean you condone it. ephebophiia is just as illegal as pedo. that's like saying "you say say "well actually, it's manslaughter, not murder" means you are ok with manslaughter"

they are both illegal and they are both wrong. I just like to use the right word. has nothing to do with condoning either of them

True or not anyone can see that it's still defensive and typically advocating for having sexual relations with people under 18 regardless of what country you're in and what side of the fence you may be on.

I was attracted to a 17 year old girl and flirted with her a bit, people on another board found out and now they call me a paedophile all the time. Fucking stupid when it's the UK regional board and in the UK I could get married to a 17 year old in theory.

not just here but in the real world too. if most people see someone is on the sex registry, they assume it's for raping a child before even finding out the details

Hell, I've seen people essentially advocate studying pedophiles like lab rats in order to hopefully find a cure or to stop folks from even developing the desire in the first place. They've been accused of defending pedophiles.
