Why is music, movies, comics, videogames all OK to have such effort put into but not sports?

I don't think taxpayers should have to pay for sports stadiums.

I can definitely understand that argument.

I believe there is a lot of research financially that shows that tax breaks for stadiums does employ hundreds of people and CAN create an influx of revenue, but not always.

I didn't say those were okay to have such resources dedicated to them. The difference being that sports suck up tax dollars and school budgets. Those things shouldn't have tax dollars dedicated to them. Also, sports (and "entertainment") take up time on the "news". They really shouldn't. It's a distraction.
