Do you and your SO enjoy the same types of food? I know some people are really picky eaters. My SO and I pretty much eat the same things. And both love the same things. So, going out to eat or eating in is usually pretty easy. But I know some couples that have it difficult.

I'm much more picky that she is. Partly because of past and present food allergies, but also because I'm just picky lol... She'll eat/drink 99% of the stuff I do, with sauerkraut and beer being the only major exceptions.

My sister has had all kind of allergies. Though, she's growing out of them. The only thing I can eat is shellfish. Which sucks, because I actually like shellfish. And it sucked because I grew up in Maryland. A coastal state and also home of the Maryland Blue Crab. But it's not as much of a problem here. Except I still have to ask about stuff sometimes. I just normally avoid seafood unless I know it's just fish or whatnot. Still have to learn about sushi, though...

I heard a good amount of places do these days. Though, the amount probably depends on where you are...

I use to be very picky when I was younger. But then I wanted to explore all the different foods. My sister is actually a lot like me. And she's picky right now. She'll probably drop it soon, too. My mom said it's like taking care of a female me, the way she acts. But our brother is very different... Which is fine.

My SO loves meat and I'm a vegan

I do the cooking. He eats vegan most meals and likes it. We don't cook meat in the house. It took him a little while to trust that I do magic in the kitchen. He's more averse to new food so I appreciate that he tries.

Yeah, not only do we enjoy the same foods (pretty wide variety of cuisines, too), in many instances I introduced her to various cuisines she now loves.
There are a few things she likes that I can't eat, and some things I like a lot more than her, but that's about it for differences.

Isn't that kind of an important thing to share if you intend to live together for any meaningful length of time?

And to answer the topic: yes.

In the middle. We both have some things the other won't have for some reason, but it's not bad enough that it becomes troublesome.

Yeah. As long as it doesn't become a bother, it's usually fine...

As long as he likes the dishes you cook, that works. Especially since he may not have had them if you hadn't made it for him.

Yeah the options are getting better for sure. We mostly go to places that serve meat and have good vegetarian menus. Even fast food here has been getting good vegan options lately, though I have been glad to avoid that kind of food

I would normally say yes. But I have seen it where couples don't really share a lot of food preferences. Sometimes, it can be bad, other times, it's ok. I know some people who don't live together full time yet. Or some of them who live together just buy extra groceries. But it can depend. Personally, that's why I'm not sure I could date a vegan. But for some people, it works. Like how Foxx can cook a bunch of stuff her SO likes. Or how DBS has a vegan wife, but I don't think he is. So, it can work, still...

Yeah, like Indian cuisine. Introduced her to that, and her last birthday, she wanted to go to an Indian restaurant.
Or salads...she used to be hesitant to try stuff like bell peppers, feta cheese, and salmon with a salad. Now...we have to "negotiate" how much of the portion each of us are taking, sometimes :)

Last girlfriend and I had similar preferences. The girlfriend before that, however, had the diet of a 5-year-old. She would only eat nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and peanut butter sandwiches. I tried to get her to eat a piece of chicken once and she threw up (which I'm pretty sure she forced herself to do).

So, a VERY picky eater. But its good that you got one who had similar preferences afterwards...
