It doesnt have to be a dungeon in a very strict definition like it have to be underground, etc, but more in like a general sense a place in videogames filled with dangers and challenges, whether it is enemies, traps, puzzles or any similiar block that stop progress until it is defeated.

Zelda games have got a great dungeon, with my favorite on top my head are the water dungeon in majoras mask, also in majoras mask the dungeon where you flip it upsode down.

Alttp has aweslme dungeons too.

In rpg we got durlag's tower in baldurs gate 1 dlc, and teh underdark in baldurs gate 2, or purely puzzle based puzzle like in lady of pain prison in planescape.

I remember tales of phatansia have good dungeon for jrpg.

Modern rpg, we have raedric's hold from pillars of eternity 1, fort deadlight from pillars of eternity 2.

There is also immersive sim like ultima's underworld's stygian abyss or arx fatalis. Even something like the buried ancient city in thief 2, or "the sword" level in thief 1. Dishonored 2's jindosh mansion is awesome too.

I am playing etrian odyssey and it has pretty neat dungeon, as well as classic smt games that stay close to the roots of its dungeon crawler genre.

Smt 4 is an abominatoon dungeon wise tho.

I have the white, red and purple helm, but no green Garona's Guise, and I have the purple and red chest but no green one. I just want to finish the set

RuneScape dungeons were reasonably diverse and pretty cool. There was even an eventual Dungeoneering skill/mode where you go through various challenges, defeat various enemies and defeat a boss at the end.

Yeah, Stone Tower in Majoras Mask was awesome. Also love the Forest and Spirit Temples from OoT, Zeldas got a lot of good ones

Festering Hate Pool in The Realm

Full of large groups of mid to high level enemies, it's the best place for high-risk chaotic combat with great EXP and loot rewards. Also nostalgic for constantly getting lost before discovering a full map of the place

Quite a few from Might and Magic 7 and 8. I really need to fully replay those games again some time soon.

Durlag's Tower, I remember absolutely loving it when I did it, but on the other hand, I never wanted to do it again.

oh god, even if i hated stonecore in world of warcraft on a terrible connection. the 3rd boss was always fun.

feel the strength of the earth!.

back then everyone died on the worm, the dragon or the giant golem guy due to some issue.
if everyone got to the 4th boss. hardly anyone dies on that.

The worm was easy but the golem guy sucked because of his stupid AoE attack.

If we are counting mmos, then Karazhan and Ulduar are definitely up there. Shattered Halls was fun. Magister's Terrace too. Also Zul'Aman.

Final Fantasy VII: Shinra HQ. Such an awesome part of the game up to that point. Great atmosphere, great new characters, and simply awesome events. From spying on the meeting, sneaking around air ducts, or sneaking past soldiers or shooting your way in, confronting Hojo, meeting Red XIII, the prison moment where everyone's talking to each other, to the prison escape with its moody atmosphere, puzzles from the library, the coupons, and Midgar scale model, the escape from the HQ with the elevator battle, the motorcycle escape sequence... So much cool shit.

I like Assassination. Can't get into the other 2 specs.

I'm sure I am not thinking about some of the best ones out there. But the ones that come to mind are:
- The final dungeon in The Legend of Dragoon
- Forest Temple in OOT
- Ancient Cistern and the ship in Skyward Sword. Both of which pretty much saved the game from being a complete dumpster fire
- Final dungeon in FFVIII
- Final dungeon in FFIX
- Pharos in FFXII

Worm was annoying because he'd go underground and - if I'm remembering right - the burrowing animation doesn't show up massively well on lower graphics setting. That and the fact that it oneshots you.

Dragon was just an idiot check. You don't hide behind pillars, you die.

Golem guy. He is an asshole. He has a magic mechanic, a physical mechanic, and a tank mechanic. Any one of the three can murder you. His ass is still killing people in timewalking dungeons. There is this though:
