I really think a lot of folks make relationships out to be a lot harder than they are. Wanna know how to make a relationship work? Find someone that you're ok being bored with. Once the honeymoon period ends, it's mostly mundane stuff.

I kind of feel the same way, I desperately want a relationship, but I struggle to deal with people. Especially for extended periods of 1 on 1 time. I'm not sure I have what it takes to be in a relationship with somebody.

It feels like it'd be something that would make me happy, but when I think about it realistically, it seems like most of the things people generally do are things that annoy/bother me. I still want a relationship, at least to see if I can make one work, I'm just not convinced any more that I could.

I'd try dating if the opportunity arose, but it's not like I have anyone interested anyway. Idk, maybe it's for the best that I'm alone. I always thought I'd be able to find somebody who understands my shortcomings and could learn to tolerate them, and that I could do the same for them, but I think I'm just not capable of that.

That's what I want though, more than anything. I don't care about being normal or what anyone thinks about it. It's been tearing me up that I can't find anyone to be with, but now I'm thinking I probably wouldn't be capable of enjoying it even if I could. Idk, maybe it's just better this way, I'm not exactly the best when it comes to emotional stuff. I just want to know what it's like though, for once, before giving up completely.

How my wife and I handle it. We're happily married, and go do stuff obviously... but it's shit like shopping for toilet paper and killing time at home that'll test ya more than anything.
