I love stories from just about any medium. Video games. Literature. Songs. Poems. Especially movies. I like to edit videos. Cut things up to make it look like a movie. Also really into martial arts and action choreography. Value knowledge about computer hardware and programming. Affinity for nature and science. Highly interested in different cultures, languages, and locations.

Enjoy contributing to a finalized team project, but prefer to work alone.

Have tried going the computer science route instead of pursuing English writing and film art because money. I don't think I'm enjoying it at all. So here I am. Lost.

I guess both. Still going to school, so I'll need funds until I get to my career.

Video/sound editing could be a good thing to focus on, several career paths could open from that.

dont confuse your hobbies/interests with your career

sometimes you can find a career that lines up with your hobby (i.e. you like to code so you work as a programmer), and sometimes if you're one of the few of the top most skilled people in your hobby you can turn that into an actual career (i.e. actor, comedian, musician, etc), but for most people you're probably going to have to get a regular office job that is not connected to your hobbies/interests.

think about HOW you work more than what you like to work on. are you analytical, do you like working in teams or alone, do you like working behind the scenes or in front, how comfortable are you with decision making, etc

Too main jobs. I've worked in a clean room fabrication plant. This had cool hours and was pretty chill in that I wad left alone. But the chemicals in the air that caused cancer was scary. And it was like trained moneky work.

I also have worked at a call center which was cool because they let me work from home. But i absolutely hate customer service. This was killing me.

Military is out of the picture at this point. Not something I want anyway.

I do like to work alone, but at the same time contribute to a larger finished project. Behind the scenes is perfect for me. Unsure how to answer the decision making question or analytical question. How would I know

How about a job in your local tourism industry. You could do guided tours or work with someone to create videos about local areas of interest.

I like the idea of creating videos about areas of interest. That's good creative thinking. Unsure about the guided tours tho. Always hated customer service. But maybe this is different.

Any other ideas?

Customer service isn't bad but the typical retail or fast food stuff is garbage for the pay.

Look into web design, editing videos for a team, editing stories maybe.

Call centers suck. At least for me. I hate the fakeness I have to put on just to make an irate customer feel in control.

I would love to do the editing stuff, but idk where to start. Make my own portfolios i guess, but idk. Wish I had a mentor.
