The problem isn't that Trump called them animals, at least not to me, the problem is that he was using that word to attack and campaign against immigrants in general and try to encourage an association between violent gang members and all illegal immigrants. Trump doesn't see people trying to get into the USA as proper humans at all, whether they're in gangs or not.

Personally, I feel that being that way toward someone with sever mental disabilites is one of the lowest things you could do. Worse than racism, worse than sexism, worse than pretty much any other ism. Some of them, quite literally, don't even have a voice of their own to even stand up for themselves. Any platform they have to defend them, the seriously debilitated, are at the behest of other people.

I've seen it happen, personally. People make fun of, pick on, and shove people with these types of infirmities. Makes me sick.

I know that's not what this topic is discusing, but it's just something that I feel strongly about, and it does share similarites.
