Current Events > It's kind of weird not having any friends since I turned 27

I've always never had any hobbies or interests (since I have always been pretty mature for my age), but since I have turned 27 it's been interesting to see how the concept of friendship no longer applies to me as well.

I spent my 27th birthday on a plane, returning from obligations (which is what I now refer to activities I am forced to perform on weekends and weekdays after work/commuting). For dinner, I ate fast food by myself.

For those of you that have turned 27, how have you dealt with the death of the concept of friendship?

I dunno, I still have a lot of friends but we all have full time jobs and mostly all have wives and kids and me specifically with a baby so finding time to actually do anything is next to impossible.

there is no time for hobbies & interests when you have full time work & obligations, and friendship ends at age 27 sadly because now it is all couples friends, soon to be replaced by people whose kids are in the same activities as mine

I keep acquaintances mainly for the sake of making music. Tbh my SO is all I really want or need. Everything else feels like a time sink to me, so I don't even feel like I'm missing anything.

I just think you always gotta make a little time for yourself when you can, man. And just because you dont get to see your old buddies much anymore doesn't mean they aren't still your friends
